Writing

Beyond Brave: 60 Days of Journaling Devotions encourages young woman to discover the unique way God has made them courageous through the empowering stories of biblical and modern women. In partnership with Zondervan, I conducted the creative development, research, and writing for this full-length book.

Editing

Change is hard. In Making Peace with Change, Gina Brenna Butz assures us that the God who loves us is working for our good in transition, no matter how messy it is. In our ever-changing world, Gina reminds readers that their hope is secure in the One who is constant. This comforting book involved substantive editing, copyediting, and proofing.

Editing

Reflections by Rosa Parks by Rosa Parks and Gregory J. Reed was republished by Zondervan in January, 2018. One of my favorite projects. I served as the acquiring editor for this book, communicating with the co-author, editing the new content, writing additional back and front matter, and worked with the marketing team to develop a new cover and marketing plan.

Collaborative Writing

Most of us spend a lifetime trying to figure out who we are and how we relate to others and God. The Sacred Enneagram Workbook by Chris Heuertz offers a bright path to cutting the internal clutter and finding our way back to who we are created to be. This project was part writing and part collaborative writing.

Editing

3 Words that will Change Your Life by Mike Novotny inspires readers to grasp just how glorious and near God is, because when we understanding and live out these three life-changing words—God Is Here—we will begin to truly live in the joy of God’s presence. Published by Bethany House, this inspiring and uplifting project was a substantive edit.

Ghostwriting

Draw the Circle Prayer Journal: A 40-Day Experiment is an ancillary product by bestselling author, Mark Batterson. Based on the  popular book, Draw the Circle, this journal guides readers through a personal prayer journey. Each day offers a scripture quote, a brief and thoughtful reading, and a prayer prompt. This ancillary project involved writing and editing.

Collaborative Writing

She Prays by Debbie Lindell invites readers on a journey to experience a confident, conversational relationship with the heavenly Father. Through story, biblical examples, and compelling truths, this prayer guide is designed for any woman looking to grow her faith. This project included author coaching, writing, and editing.

Ghostwriting

A Higher Calling: Claiming God’s Best for Your Life by Dana Isaiah Thomas and published by Zondervan is an engaging and challenging teen devotional. A model and athlete with experience dealing with depression and life-changing injuries, Dana's story inspires readers to grow through life struggles in a healthy way. This projected included writing, creative development, and editing.

Editing

Simplify Magazine is a quarterly, digital publication that gathers advice and stories from experts for modern families seeking peace, space and health. Published by Joshua Becker—an author, speaker, and minimalist— each issue includes nine or so full-length articles and a fiction piece. To see my editorial work, check out Issues 003, 004.

Copywriting

In partnership with Edit Resource, LLC., I regularly write online and print product descriptions as well as book jacket copy for Zondervan and Thomas Nelson. Recent products include: Life to the Extreme by Ty Pennington, Excellence Wins by Horst Schulze, Unexpected by Christine Caine, Scoot Over and Make Some Room by Heather Avis, Latin Hit Maker by Rudy Pérez, People Fuel by John Townsend, and The Seven Longest Yards by Chris and Emily Norton.

Proofing

I regularly proofread for a variety of projects, from curriculum, books, to business presentations, and marketing copy. My most recent clients include the Christianity Today, Association Development Solutions and the American College of Prosthodontists, Our Daily Bread Ministries, LaBov Marketing Communications and Training, and Prison Fellowship Ministries.
